We depart from Vigo and drive by coach toward Santiago (approximately 60 minutes). During the journey, your guide shares traditions, history and cultural background of the region, and provides practical tips so you can make the most of your visit.

On arrival, the coach drops the group at the Juan XXIII parking area — the closest vehicle access point to the Cathedral (about a 5-minute walk). You will receive a city map highlighting the key locations.

Together with the guide, you walk via Avenida Juan XXIII and San Francisco Street to Obradoiro Square, the heart of Santiago. Along the way you will see traditional shops offering local specialties such as Santiago cake and regional sweets.

You will then have approximately three hours of free time to explore the Cathedral area and old town at your own pace. Cathedral entrance is free when available.

The guide remains available in Obradoiro Square at the agreed meeting point and time, and will later lead the group toward Alameda Park for one of the best panoramic views of the Cathedral before returning to the coach.
