In 2021 someone had a vision. A year later that vision was shared ,under unusual circumstances on social media, with someone who was also drawn in by the ethos around the idea.
This vision became reality and Caribbean Cruise Excursions You Save the Benefit was born.
At that time Tour operators were trying to get their businesses and lives back on track after the pandemic had taken its toll.
The vision was to help them do this but in such a way they got the most benefit.
Commissionless payments. In return a donation be made to charity.
This ensured they received their money straight away and avoid the delays that happen with their payments from cruise line bookings. These operators are now big friends, some even classing us as family and remain loyal to us for the way we have turned their lives around. That is the best outcome we could have possibly wished for.
The other benefit of this means that you also save money, in some cases on identical tours offered by the cruise line.
By the time we had reached half way through our first season we began to realise that, what had envisioned being a small simple operation , was growing at a rate of knots and exceeding our initial aim. The couple of thousand members was already around ten.
Working 16 hour days became a norm to keep on top of all the bookings coming through. We were aware that we could not maintain that system with our growth so technology was called for and a booking system developed ready for our second season.
This has proved invaluable .
The two seasons produced over £30000 being raised towards Aortic Dissection Trust who produced a video for the benefit of medical professionals to educate them of symptoms that may have been missed. This has undoubtably saved lives.
In addition we have supported a Blind School in Antigua, food bank in Barbados, Meals on Wheels in Grand Cayman, Funding support groups for The Multiple System Atrophy Trust , Crew fundraiser of P&O who tragically lost his life in service and Clean the Ocean . This is something we are very proud of and will continue to be doing from profits made.
The growth and support has been very humbling but made us think about our future.
It has had its trials and not always been straightforward due to time constraints and demands.
We decided that now, having nearly 50 000 members, was the time to move forward as a registered company along with a website to reach people that do not use social media . We look forward to seeing familiar faces along with newcomers to continue our journey with us.
Due to us working directly with the suppliers and removing the high commissions normally associated with excursions, as a registered company, we are now benefitting from more companies offering us corporate contracts which means we are able to offer even more excursions at the best price possible .
