Cueva de las Maravillas is one of the most accessible caves in the Dominican Republic, thanks to its lighting system, ramps, path, and modern elevator
The impressive geological formations of the Cave of Wonders (Cueva de las Maravillas) provide the setting for the first rock art museum in the Antilles. Located 25 meters underground on the San Pedro de Macorís – La Romana highway, in the eastern coastal plain of Hispaniola, between
the Soco and Cumayasa rivers. The cave displays more than 500 pictographs of great aesthetic and archaeological value. It is accessible via a 240-meter-long trail with special ramps, a modern elevator, and walkways that allow entry for people with disabilities.
Passing stalactites and stalagmites, you will marvel at unique geological rock formations, the crystal-clear water pool and the almost perfectly preserved cave paintings of the Taíno natives
