On route we will stop at the overlook to take photos of the spectacular Diamond rock and Morne Larcher.
The Rocher du Diamant (Diamond Rock) is a small base island, 300 m in diameter, which rises 175 m high, a remnant of the strong volcanic activity which affected this region. It owes its name to its general shape and the reflections it takes on at certain times of the day. It is located about two kilometers from Pointe du Diamant. Although difficult to access, it played a big role during the Napoleonic Wars, because of its strategic position. It offers a very beautiful landscape rising above the ocean and allows you to enjoy yourself with panoramic photo opportunities.
Take your snorkel gear as you could see some green sea turtles near Grande Anse beaches. These beaches are known for regular turtle sightings, particularly green sea turtles, as they feed on the seagrass beds. You can snorkel directly from the beach.
