Once picked up from Colon Port, take the scenic journey to the iconic Panama Canal, specifically the Miraflores Locks passing some historic sites.
The tour includes a 3D IMAX film narrated by Morgan Freeman about the history of the Panama Canal since its inception. The documentary clearly explains the complexities and challenges of the canal, past and present. Through extraordinary shots from the air, historical re-creations and up-close views of various ships passing through the canal, you will discover just how ingenious the locks are. Amazingly, they operate by gravity without a single water pump
Guests will then proceed to the observation deck where they can witness the impressive locks in operation and observe the enormous ships crossing the canal. Watch a ship pass through the Miraflores locks and gain when you will discover just how ingenious the locks are.
Afterwards, guests will be taken to a handicraft market, where they can purchase local indigenous treasures and unique souvenirs while immersing themselves in Panamanian culture.
