After being picked up from the cruise Terminal at 9 am where you will be taken to the location to start your electric tram tour of Harrisons Cave Eco-Adventure
The spectacular HARRISON'S CAVE in Barbados is geographically located in the centre of the island, a natural phenomenon unique to the tropical world. Specially designed transport takes you down through the underground tunnels to a sight so beautiful, that few can compare. In the special lighted caverns at Harrison's Cave, view the majestic stalactites and stalagmites which have been growing from the floors and ceilings for many centuries.
Cascading through the caves, the crystal blue waters form magnificent pools and waterfalls, filling the senses with sights and sounds of such pure wonder.
After your Tour you will be transported back to Harbour lights on Carlisle Bay to enjoy a relaxing beach time with your own beach chair and umbrella. There is a restaurant/bar on site and you can use the facilities here. (You may want to stay for the evening nightclub with unlimited drinks, take a turtle catamaran trip or jet ski. Look out for our postings on this).
During your stay you will be taking the amazing 'Koopa Troopa,' boat trip on an enjoyable turtle & shipwreck snorkel tour. Bring your camera and snap some pictures while exploring the Shipwreck and the Hawksbill and Green Turtles. They each play an important role in protecting the coral reef ecosystem. You can either get in the water and enjoy snorkeling with these magnificant creatures or stay on board and enjoy seeing them through the crystal clear waters.
After this amazing day,y ou will make your own way back from here, It is walkable distance to the cruise Port, or a local shuttle, which is usually $5.. perfect for those wanting to stay as long as they wish. It is at the center of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Carlisle Bay has a protected marine area, which makes it a prime dive location. Along with thriving marine life, there are also a few shipwrecks, cannonballs, and other relics that can be seen underwater in this area.
